连州地下河有丰富的水产品。有鲤鱼、黄角鱼等等，其中最为稀有的就是“娃娃鱼”，学名叫大鲵，是３亿年前与恐龙同一时代生存并延续下来的珍稀物种，“娃娃鱼”的生活环境较为独特，一般在水质清凉的石缝和岩洞多的山涧溪流，对水质的要求极为严格，必须是流动的活水且水质清爽无污染。经过3亿年地球变迁，娃娃鱼仍能在连州地下河生存繁衍，这与连州地下河独特良好的自然生态环境和得天独厚的气候条件是分不开的。

The Lianzhou Underground River is rich in aquatic products. There are carp, Yellow catfish and so on. Among them, the rarest is the "giant salamander", scientifically known as the Chinese giant salamander. It is a rare species that lived and continued to exist in the same era as dinosaurs 300 million years ago. The living environment of the "giant salamander" is rather unique. It usually lives in the crevices of rocks with cool water and mountain streams with many caves. It has extremely strict requirements for water quality, which must be flowing water that is clear and pollution-free. After 300 million years of Earth's changes, the giant salamander can still survive and reproduce in the underground river of Lianzhou. This is inseparable from the unique and favorable natural ecological environment and the exceptional climatic conditions of the underground river of Lianzhou.
