Caves served as early human dwellings, bearing witness to humanity's hundreds of thousands of years of cave dwelling history. The stone gate just passed through and the ancient city wall behind are actual relics of ancient people choosing caves as shelters. On the rock wall here, the inscription "In the second vear of the Zhengde reign of Yan Daming" is clearly visible, which clearly identifies that these two ancient buildings were built in the Ming Dynasty, more than five hundred years ago. Lianzhou, because of its location at the junction of Guangdong, Hunan, and Guangxi provinces, has been an important strategic node in military history. This rock wall also engraves the names of villagers who migrated here to avoid war, recording the vicissitudes of history.
