我们脚下所见的这道壮丽景观，即被誉为“连州梯田”的地理奇观，其在地质学上被称为“边石坝”。边石坝的形成，源于地表水的作用。这些梯田上的地表水，内含丰富的溶解钙物质，尽管肉眼难以察觉其中的漂浮物。然而，由于此地水流速度缓慢，这些溶解的钙物质逐渐沉淀下来，经过岁月的积淀，形成了这一层层宛如梯田的壮丽景观。

The magnificent sight beneath our feet is konwn as the "Lianzhou Terraces,"a geographical wonder referred to as a "ledge dam "in geology.The formation of ledge dams results from the action of surface water.The surface water on these terraces contains abundant dissolved calcium,although the floating matter is imperceptible to the naked eye.However.due to the slow flow rate of the water.the dissolved calcium gradually preclpitates over time.accumulating layer upon layer to form the spectacular terraced landscape that we see today.
